Recent Apple CarPlay Connectivity Issues
We’re aware some customers using the latest iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Air are experiencing wireless CarPlay connection issues. This is linked to a recent iOS software compatibility problem affecting these devices. What’s happening • Apple’s current software has instability with wireless CarPlay on the newest iPhone models • The issue relates to how the phone switches to Wi-Fi once CarPlay starts • This results in dropouts, failed connections, or inconsistent performance This is not limited to retrofit systems. The same issue is being reported on factory fitted (manufacturer) CarPlay systems across multiple vehicle brands. Older iPhone models are not affected. Temporary solutions Until Apple releases a permanent fix: • Use wired CarPlay for a stable connection (works 100%) • Many users report strong improvement after updating to iOS 26.3 beta Apple update guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzbrdVffgss Our status This is a software-side issue across the iPhone 17 range and is not related to vehicle hardware, installation, or aftermarket modules. Manufacturers have advised customers to use wired CarPlay while Apple works on a stabilising update. We continue to monitor updates and will share any official fix once released.
